Join Chicago Historian Sally Sexton Kalmbach for a rare tour of the vibrant, historic Gold Coast. The afternoon will begin with a walking tour of the tree-lined streets of the Gold Coast neighborhood followed by a visit to the Eleanor Robinson Countiss House. The tour concludes with an exclusive look at the Ambassador Chicago hotel and lunch in the iconic dining room at Booth One.
Enjoy a three-course meal featuring original dishes inspired by the history book, “Sabers and Suites – The Story of Chicago’s Ambassador East,” like the divine Herb-Marinated Chicken Paillard and Salmon Asiatique. As you dine, you’ll be treated to fascinating tales of the heyday of Booth One, formerly known as the Pump Room. All guests must arrive at 10:45 AM for check-in, taking place in the lobby at The Ambassador Chicago.
The tour & luncheon is priced at $40 per person, plus tax (gratuity not included). Advanced reservations are required, please call Booth One at 312-649-0535 to secure your spot.
